Maria brings an impressive background with over 30 years of experience in the textile fashion industry as a fabric designer during the vibrant 80s and 90s. Her journey in textile design led her to further her education in textile conservation, graduating in 2020 from Lincoln University. Here, she specialised in historical fabrics, cementing her passion for preserving and innovating traditional textile arts.
Working closely with the National Trust, museums, and private clients across the UK, Maria has dedicated her career to the conservation of historical fabrics, embroidery, and beadwork. Her passion for these ancient crafts is not just about preservation but also about bringing these techniques into the present day. Maria's work in creating heritage-themed products and sewing kits allows crafters to explore their creativity while connecting with the historical significance of their creations.
As a member of the Royal School of Needlework (RSN), Maria is continually honing her skills in goldwork embroidery, aiming to share her knowledge and passion with others.
