Join members of the Somerset W.I. for a delightful and practical workshop where you'll learn to create your very own Lavender and Wheat Handwarmer.

This class is ideal for crafters of all levels, providing a relaxing and rewarding experience. Our skilled instructors from the WI in Somerset will guide you through each step, ensuring you leave with a beautiful, functional handwarmer.

Workshop Description:

In this hands-on class, you will:

  • Cutting: Select luxuriously soft fabric (fabric colour may vary) and cut it to the appropriate size.

  • Sewing: Learn basic sewing techniques to stitch your fabric pieces together, creating a pocket.

  • Filling: Fill your handwarmer with a blend of wheat and fragrant lavender flowers.

  • Finishing Touches: Add a charming ribbon band to complete your handwarmer.

After the workshop, you'll have a versatile handwarmer that can be microwaved for a few seconds to provide warmth in your pocket or used as a small pillow to soothe tense muscles.
