Shepton Mallet 2018's Workshops..... What alot we've got planned for you!!

If you would like to take part  in one of the many Workshops running over the course of the show, you can book online by selecting the booking link (where offered).  Or just turn up on the day and book. 

If you don't know what day you are attending the show, you can book when you arrive by visiting the the stand where the workshop will be taking place. Spaces on some workshops are limited so we advise that you book as soon as you arrive, to avoid disappointment.

Needle Felted Gingerbread Man Workshop

Lizabeth Fibre Animals Stand

Price: £6

All materials needed to complete your gingerbread man project will be supplied. You will be shown how to use basic needle felting techniques to complete and finish the project and add the finishing touches. Your gingerbread man is then yours to take home . Colours vary

Houses on the Quay Postcard

Stand G1 - Anne Hellyer


Come along and create your own unique fabric “Houses on the Quay” postcard to take home and stitch. This workshop will run for approximately one hour, in which time you will design your own little row of houses. You will be using use acrylic paint to embellish them. These will then be mounted on Anne’s hand painted fabric to create your own quay side scene.

Anne will also tell you how to create your own painted fabrics for future projects.

We would advise you to book in advance as places are limited. You can do this by sending an email to Anne at: with your name, the day and time you wish to do the workshop and the number of people in your group. Alternatively it is possible to book on the day if places are still available.

Laminated Fabric Make up bag

Come along and have fun, learn new skills working with laminated fabric. Take home the finished product as a reward for yourself or as a gift for a loved one.

This session is perfect for all experience levels from beginners onwards. Among other skills you will learn how to put a zip and embellishments.

Fusing Fabrics

Stand G1 - Margaret Beal

Cost to attend £7.00 per person

In this workshop you will learn how to use a fine tipped soldering iron to cut, fuse and make marks on synthetic fabric, the techniques are easy to learn, straightforward, fun and very creative.
