Shepton Mallet 2019's Workshops..... What alot we've got planned for you!!

If you would like to take part  in one of the many Workshops running over the course of the show, you can book online by selecting the booking link (where offered).  Or just turn up on the day and book. 

If you don't know what day you are attending the show, you can book when you arrive by visiting the the stand where the workshop will be taking place. Spaces on some workshops are limited so we advise that you book as soon as you arrive, to avoid disappointment.

Workshops

Pressed Flower Guild Key Ring

Times: Running continuously throughout the day

Location: TBC (The Pressed Flower Guild)

Cost to attend: A small donation 

Join The Pressed Flower Guild to make your very own keyring with pressed flowers to take home. 

No need to prebook, simply drop in at any time. 

Paint Pouring Workshop

Times: 10:00am-11:00am, 11:30am-12:30pm, 1:30pm-2:30pm & 3:00pm-4:00pm everyday

Location: Workshop Room 4

Cost to attend: £15 for one tile & £20 for two

Participants will take home a unique work of art on a paint poured tile. Can choose to do one or two tiles in the workshop. Anyone can produce stunning paint pours regardless of artistic ability.

Mini Marbling Workshop

Times: 10:30am-11:30am & 3:00pm-4:00pm (Drop in between these times) everyday

Location: B3

Cost to attend: £5

Craig Joubert teaches you 13 century marbling techniques in the workshop. Craig will be demonstrating Marbling onto tiles, buttons, fabric and paper. A limited stock of his designer water based marbling kits and accessories sold on stand. This workshop lasts 5- 10 mins.

No need to prebook, simply drop in between the given times. 

Busy Lizzie’s Origami Workshop

Times: Running continuously throughout the day

Location: Workshop Room 3 (Busy Lizzie's Origami)

Cost to attend: £5

Modular Origami pieces which can then be structured into Bunting, Hearts or Star shapes. 

No need to prebook, simply turn up on the day. 

Sculpture Casting Workshop

Times: 10.00am-11:30am and 3:30pm-5:00pm (Drop in between these times) everyday

Location: TBC (Melanie Deegan)

Cost to attend: £5 

Using high quality Crystacal plaster to cast natural shapes such as fossils, leaves, bark and other textures from silicone moulds, these can then be coloured using plaster pigments and metallic finishes. These shapes can be used as wall or window hangings, mounted in picture frames, in mobiles or even as jewellery. No experience needed, all tools and materials supplied. Allow around 45 minutes.

No need to book, simply drop in between the given times. 

Designing Male Orientated Cards

Times: 10:30am-11:30am, 12:30pm-1:30pm and 1:30pm-2:30pm everyday

Location: A5 (Papercraft Inspiration)

Cost to attend: £5

During the workshops they will create a male oriented card using either a card topper kit or parchment depending on their preference. There will be a selection of designs to choose from. The workshops will look at designing and creating male cards and will hopefully inspire some design ideas.
