Introducing Stan Brown and his conversion to the felting craft
I was an apprentice lithographer and subsequently owned and ran my own Lithographic Printing Company for many years. During which time I produced a number of fine art prints for clients such as the Tate Gallery. I am also a very keen model maker, making period wooden war ships from scratch.
I discovered the Fibrecraft 3 course at Bicton College during a visit to a Craft 4 Crafters Show at Westpoint and was captivated by the wonderful array of work displayed on the stand. I joined the course in October 2017 and have never looked back. Since then my felt work has been heavily influenced by my litography experience and vice-versa. Here are a just a few of my commissions since.
