Bicton College is a leading land-based college set within an area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of Devon. It runs a wide variety of courses ranging from Animal care to the Arts and Crafts. The college also includes a school of fibre craft.
The college will be exhibiting at stand 105 and 74, here you will see their fabulous Felt making skills and get a chance to have a go at Felt making yourself. You will also be able to book into their workshop classes run by their college students. These include using finest local and exotic colourful Merino fleece and lustrous silk fibres and threads, to create an embellished felt picture or a small vessel. Using hands, soap and water only, participants will 'paint' with fibres.
We are pleased that the collaboration between Bicton College and Craft 4 Crafters enters its third year and will feature Alumni and Associates who specialise in felting making, illustrative needle felt, spinning, knitting, organic dyeing, embroidery. And in particular four, who met the college through Craft4Crafters, Alumni Rosie Draper, Sara Wescott, Jenny Horsley and Ali Lucas, all established success through attending courses at the College and are now establishing Feltmaking initiatives.
There will be daily live demonstrations, on their stand, here students will be happy to give you advice and share their expertise to aid all your crafting needs. If you want to find out more about the college visit www.feltmakersatbictoncollege.org.uk
