Mandala Mayhem!

£5.00 per person

This workshop will be run by Tina Francis from Tina Francis Tapestry on the Inkberrow stand G5. 

Spend an hour going round and round! Using wool, a bodkin and two or three different stitches you will create a beautiful stitched mandala that can be hung from you mantlepiece, used for a card front or as a seasonal decoration. You will also receive a second mandal for you to complete at home.

This workshop is suitable for adults and accompanied children over 8.

Tapestry Needle Brooch

This workshop will be run by Tina Francis from Tina Francis Tapestry on the Inkberrow stand G5. 

Using oddments of wool, you will use a Tent Stitch to create a stunning needlepoint brooch whcih you can wear on you lapel for the world to see! Nothing equals the thrill of being able to say 'I made it myself!' when people ask where you got such a fantastic unique item. 

This workshop is suitable for beginner and experienced stitchers alike, but is not suitable for children.

Embellishing For Fashion

Stand G5 (Balcony)

This workshop will be run by Educational Fashion Consultant and owner of IDC Redditch; Brenda Killigrew. 

Often used for felting landscapes and in textile art embellishing has many applications in the world of fashion. With emphasis on up cycled clothing and also on hand beading and embellishment on this seasons catwalk, spend an hour with Brenda Killigrew learning how to use an embellisher to add texture and interest to existing garments.

 
Materials (provided)
 
Denim, Calico, Boiled Wool, Georgette Fabric pieces
Wool, trimmings, fabric scraps 
Embellisher machines
 
You will learn about the different qualities of each fabric and embellish into them, leaving with four samples that can be added to your garments at home or form the basis of an idea for your own portfolio.
