Needle Felt Card Motifs

Choose your seasonal motif, use soft merino wool and a special barbed needle to colour the motifs, and add to hessian. Take it home to decorate a card or gift tag with for a special somebody.

Needle Felt Hedgehog Brooch

Make a needle felted hedgehog brooch with Sophie Buckley from The Makerss, authors of Making Needle Felted Animals.

Use natural wool fibres and a special barbed needle to shape and add detail to your brooch, and a special spiky fabric to give a realistic spiky effect. No sewing involved!

Christmas Bauble

 You will be creating a unique triangular Christmas Bauble using precision cut card and fabric specially designed by Pauline at Hollyberrie Studios. All materials will be supplied and is included in the price. 

This workshop is not suitable for very young children. Additional kits will be available to purchase if you should wish to make any further baubles.

Free Tapestry Weaving

 Handwoven tapestry wall-hangings are really popular right now - come and learn how it’s done and create your own unique piece of wall art.

 Using a pre-warped weaving loom, enjoy some peaceful time learning a variety of tapestry weaving techniques and experimenting with a range of different natural materials, including lots of British wool and recycled materials.  

 I teach weaving using simple, inexpensive tools so it’s easy to learn and accessible to everyone.  No previous experience necessary - I supply all the materials and the techniques, you just bring your creativity and a willingness to experiment and play!

 Each workshop is limited to 6 people so there is plenty of time for individual attention but still enough new people to chat and share ideas with.

Peg Loom Weaving

 Take a break from the busy show to spend a relaxing hour making your own small rug or seat cushion.  Using a pre-warped wooden peg loom, you can choose from a range of chunky wool selvedge yarn or cotton fabric yarn to weave a useful little rug for your home, and learn lots about simple weaving along the way!

I teach weaving using simple, inexpensive tools so it’s easy to learn and accessible to everyone.  No previous experience necessary - I supply all the materials and the techniques, you just bring your creativity and a willingness to experiment and play!

Take One Stamp, Stitch and Build on a Theme

In this workshop, you will make a gift card with an insert of a piece of textural embroidery using just one stitch, but using different sizes and thicknesses of thread.
